Канадському форварду знадобився час, щоб знайти себе в командній грі «БІПИ», але потім, як-то кажуть, Маркус «розкочегарився», і в 9-ти з 11-ти останніх матчів набирав більше 10-ти очок, ставши одним з найрезультативніших гравців команди, та й в підбираннях був один з найкращих.
